Getting Started with Soul's Crossover X
Your first-hour checklist — from spawn lobby to your first Soul Shard hunt.
Soul’s Crossover X (UTSRX) is an open-world Roblox RPG by Noctyra Studios, built around Undertale-style areas, soul-based builds, and crossover events. Your first session should focus on learning the lobby, earning Gold and EXP, and reaching Snowdin bosses — not rushing resets or crossover zones you cannot enter yet.
Join and claim free rewards
Launch the experience from Roblox and spawn in the main hub. Before leaving, redeem active Codes — most require liking the game, following noctyra_dev, and joining the Noctyra Studios group. Codes grant Gems, Gold, and sometimes boosters that make early leveling faster. Gems matter immediately because Frisk (Reforge NPC) charges 5 Gems per roll.
Know the lobby NPCs
The spawn area is your permanent base between zones:
- Frisk (Reforge) — Reroll stats on tools and spells. Read How to Reforge before spending more than a handful of Gems.
- Chara (Enchant) — Apply enchantments separate from reforge tiers.
- Reset room — Located between Frisk and Chara. You cannot use it on day one; see How to Reset for the level gate.
- Sans (Crafting) — Combine Soul Shards into playable souls once you meet level and Gold requirements.
Memorize this triangle: fight bosses → craft souls at Sans → reforge best spell at Frisk.
Learn controls first
Combat is real-time with dodging and ability cooldowns. Open Controls and practice on weak Snowdin mobs before Toriel. Mobile players should enable shift-lock if available and bind spells where your thumb can reach them.
Your Human Soul and first upgrades
Every player starts with the Human Soul. It is fine for tutorial fights. Your first crafted soul is usually Patience (Toriel drops Patience Soul Shards in the Ruins/Snowdin route). Check Sans for the exact Gold cost — it is low enough to hit within your first session if you complete starter quests.
Do not buy random shop souls until you read the Tier List and understand which traits match your spell lineup.
First-hour route (levels 1–40)
- Talk to every NPC in the lobby for quests and teleport hints.
- Enter Snowdin and clear quest objectives — they pay Gold and EXP faster than idle grinding.
- Farm basic enemies until you can survive Papyrus mini-boss patterns.
- Attempt Toriel when your potions and spell cooldowns are ready; she drops Patience shards (see Enemy Drops).
- Return to Sans, craft Patience if you have two shards, then reforge your main spell once at Frisk.
- Push toward Papyrus and Undyne when your level matches the quest board recommendations.
If a boss wipes you repeatedly, read How to Beat Bosses for phase notes instead of over-leveling in safe zones forever.
Gold, Gems, and what not to waste
- Gold — Crafting souls, shop gear, and later Super Saiyan costs. Always keep a buffer before Hotland.
- Gems — Reforge, Seven Soul craft, codes, and reset rewards (+100 Gems per reset). Never reforge white/common tools you will replace in ten levels.
- EXP — Quests and boss kills beat passive mob farming until midgame.
When to leave Snowdin
Move into Hotland once you can beat Undyne consistently and have at least one crafted soul with a reforged spell. Hotland introduces Muffet and Mettaton — their shards feed Kindness, Perseverance, and Justice souls. The Map Guide lists portals if you lose the path.
Mid-term goals (first week)
| Goal | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| 2+ soul types crafted | Stat variety for boss resist checks |
| One Rare+ reforge | Big DPS jump for Hotland |
| Level ~250 | Unlocks first Reset and Underswap |
| Bookmark wiki pages | Patches change drop rates often |
Endgame preview (do not rush)
Underswap needs Reset 1+. The DBZ event needs 2 Resets. Super Saiyan Soul needs level 200, Bulma at Kame House, shards from Son Koku, and 250 Release Tokens — covered in How to Complete the DBZ Event and How to Get Super Saiyan Soul. Treat these as week-two goals, not day-one requirements.
Community and safety
Play on populated servers for boss help, but avoid trade scams — use official systems only. For automation questions, see Scripts policy notes on this wiki; exploiting can ban your Roblox account.
Finish Snowdin with one crafted soul, one decent reforge, and codes claimed — then branch into shard farming and reset planning. The Guides Hub links every next step.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What should I do first in Soul's Crossover X?
Redeem codes, read the lobby layout (Frisk, Chara, Reset room, Sans), finish Snowdin quests, and beat Toriel for your first Patience Soul Shards before spending Gems on reforge.
Who is Frisk and what does Reforge cost?
Frisk is the reforge NPC in the main lobby (Undertale-inspired). Each reforge attempt costs 5 Gems and rolls a new stat tier on eligible tools and spells.
When can I reset or enter Underswap?
Reset requires reaching the level gate (commonly ~250) and using the room between Frisk and Chara. Underswap unlocks after at least one reset via the Doodle Sphere portal.
Where do I craft souls?
Take matching Soul Shards, Gold, and required levels to Sans Crafting in the lobby. Two shards of the same type plus Gold typically forge one soul.
Is Soul's Crossover X pay-to-win?
Roblox game passes may exist, but core progression — souls, reforge, resets, and crossover zones — is achievable free-to-play with time and the guides on this wiki.
